As of January 2025, the UK is requiring visitors from outside of the UK (including visitors from the U.S. and France) to obtain a UK ETA prior to entry. The application can by done via a mobile app . The application can be done in less than 10 minutes and requires your passport and a phone camera. The application costs £10 (approximately $12 USD). Once submitted, you will likely receive approval via within minutes. Your approved ETA should be valid for all travel to the UK for two years.
